bonjour tout le monde,
je voudrais savoir comment installer le driver ODBC pour Oracle 8i sous windows 2000.
est-ce que je suis oblig? d'installer le client Oracle?
ou y'a t-il un autre moyen?

Bonjour,

Nous vous invitons ? utiliser plut?t un driver JDBC et non un driver ODBC avec CocoBase. En utilisant le driver Oracle THIN par exemple , il vous faudra simplement inclure l'archive contenant le driver dans votre CLASSPATH.
De plus le driver Thin est tr?s simple ? utiliser d?s lors que votre base Oracle a un TNSLISTENER configur? sur le port 1521 (d?faut), ou tout autre port.

Cependant, si vous souhaitez absolument utilisez un driver ODBC, le plus simple est probablement de vous reporter au manuel du dit driver et une fois install?, vous pouvez utiliser un bridge ODBC/JDBC (par exemple celui de www.j-netdirect.com) pour r?aliser l'interface entre le driver
ODBC et JDBC.
