With this field, we are able to insert and update values, but not select them. If we remove the "1099" from the fieldname in the map (make it "REPORTABLE_IND") then there is no problem. On further investigation, it appears that in ejbLoad(), the CocoProxyM class can not find the setReportable1099Ind() method.

I am using the following:
CocoBase 3.1 sp 9
Weblogic 5.1 sp8
Oracle 8i
Customized BMP entity beans

Please look into this. Thank you.

This definitely sounds like an issue with the automatic name
translation of the Proxy class. We'll have a developer take
a look at this and see if there's a workaround that can be
made. This does sound like a bug in the CocoBase proxy class
however, especially it works when you remove the numbers from
the fields...

The most likely candidate for what's happening is that it's
creating a field label REPORTABLE1099_IND as opposed to the
one you think it should. Remember that the _ character is
used for uppercase shift operations. So most likely if you
also modified the field label in your map to not include the
shift before the 1099 it would also work.

Hope that helps!

Removing the first underscore (REPORTABLE1099_IND) did solve the problem, so this does seem to be a problem with capitalization following the underscore.

If you develop a patch for this, please let me know. Thank you.

This means that we probably need to do a workaround in the
CocoProxy & CocoProxyM interfaces to handle this particular
case.

We'll submit this to development and let you know when it's
available.
